The European REACH Grease Thickeners Consortium
(ERGTC) intend to prepare sector specific guidance on the
handling of substances which are manufactured in situ in
base oil. The ERGTC have prepared a brief article to inform
relevant stakeholders of their intention to produce sector
specific guidance, its purpose and what type of information it
will include. It also provides some detail on the ERGTC’s REACH
registration strategy which takes into consideration the
bioavailability of the substances, an approach that may also be
relevant for other types of substances. The article was
published in
Eurogrease and in
